A concerted effort by Giampiero Vagliano and Stefano Rovolett brought a long forgotten Italian-Franco outerwear label back from the brink a few years ago.That label was Moncler.Looking to repeat their success once again,the duo ventured out with a new label back in 2004,aptly called Duvetica.In his going effort to highlight the best of the best in men's wear,designer Junya Watanabe selected Duvetica as the purveyor of outerwear for his Comme Des Garcons Man collection.

It's rare that we post a still shot of a piece of clothing,so you know this has got to be something big.We were shopping at Bloomingdale's in SoHo yesterday and tried on the beige down jacket pictured above (click through to see pics of the back,the liner,and the reversible vest version) – a collaboration piece between Junya Watanabe for Commes des Garcons and Italian luxe jacket line Duvetiva (it's the same folks who brought Moncler back to life a few years ago,in case you were wondering).It fit and felt like you wouldn't believe.It fit to perfection: snug,fitted,warm,and soft with flannel lining on the inside.If you've got that kind of money,though,get this Comme Des Garcons Duvetica Jacket now.It's one of the best we've seen in all respects so far this year. It's not in Bloomingdale's e Shop but they have several in the SoHo store,which we're sure will sell out fast even at that price.


Another great collaboration coming from Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN this season is their work with Duvetica.They present a padded down goose jackets and a matchind reversible down vest. Both feature beige uppers.The jacket comes with corduroy and checker panels on the back,as well as plaid lining.The vest is beige on one side and red/white plaid on the other and zips all the way up.Junya Watanabe x Duvetica have collaborated this Autumn Winter season to produce this beautiful grey padded down jacket.Featuring a bright orange lining the jacket teams insulation for the season with Japanese quirkiness.A black zip fastening,two waist pockets and a brown leather trimmed pocket complete this practical yet stylish winter warmer.
